10 Health Habits I'll be continuing into 2021

· Blog,Healthy Living,Health

I used to be all about making New Year's Resolutions. How about you? These days, my focus is building habits rather than making resolutions. Healthy habits that strengthen my immune system, improve my mood & outlook, and bring a little peacefulness to these challenging times.

Here are 10 habits I anchored into my routine in 2020 and will definitely be carrying into the new year. Click on the titles of each for more info.

Do they all happen everyone single day? Well, some do and others are simply "in rotation." Let me know which you've tried and which you'll be taking with you into January & beyond!

Sole Water - Sole water is a super-easy health tonic that is simple to make at home. I drink sole water every morning for balanced hydration & minerals, reduced stress and an improved sense of wellbeing.

Mushroom Coffee - Mushroom coffee is a unique blend of dried medicinal mushrooms and ground coffee. The result is a health-supporting beverage that has less caffeine and more antioxidants, minerals, and nutrients than regular coffee. I favor the decaf option these days.

Healthy Smoothie - Smoothies are a great way to pack a lot of nutrition into an easy meal. They take minutes to make, are delicious and kid-friendly, and are easy to eat on the go. Bring on all the colorful vegs & fruit!

Get Outside - This one is so important every day! I share 7 health benefits in the post. Remember: "Nature itself is the best physician." - Hippocrates

Rebounding - A healthy lymphatic system can help you feel more vibrant, energetic, and balanced. That’s why I love to use rebounding for lymph drainage. Just a few minutes a day can make a big difference! No rebounder? Just jump!

Nettle Infusion - My simple nettle infusion is a powerful way to harness the benefits of this ancient herb. It’s easy to make, very economical, and such a nourishing drink.

Dry Brushing - Dry brushing is the process of brushing your skin in a specific pattern with a natural bristle brush. It’s an ancient practice that supports the lymphatic system and stimulates the release of toxins.

Detox Bath - The practice of bathing can help us get rid of toxins and soak in beneficial minerals. Make this a priority.

Tongue Scraping - Tongue scraping is a quick way to cleanse the surface of your tongue. Benefits include improvements in oral and overall health, taste sensation, and digestion. A quick & easy habit.

Oil Pulling - Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic health practice that is believed to improve oral health and encourage gentle detoxification. This may be new to you so check it out!

So what will you do this New Year? Make resolutions or build new habits? Share what works for you!
