Green Smoothie

There are only THREE ingredients in this super-easy, super-tasty smoothie!

Chances are you already have these foods on hand.

You’ll need:

  1. a head of Romaine lettuce (or the equivalent amount of lighter leafy greens)
  2. an avocado
  3. an apple (or a pear).

That’s it!

Oops, you actually do need a fourth ingredient: a little filtered water.

How to Make this Green Smoothie

Rinse the lettuce and cut into big chunks. Peel the avocado and apple then cut them into big chunks, too.

Combine the lettuce, avocado and apple with 1/2 to 1 cup of filtered water in a high-powered blender … like this one for a super-silky smoothie.

Blend until … smooth, of course. <wink>

Enjoy this fresh and nourishing summer treat!

Heads up to the sugar-lovers out there: This is not a super-sweet treat. The apple (or pear) provide some sweetness but this is more of a drinkable salad than a sugary smoothie. If you must cave to a sweet tooth, feel free to add some honey.
