Before hearing about the Days for Girls organization, I didn’t fully realized what a major influence feminine hygiene can have on the life of a girl in a developing country. In many parts of the world, young girls and women are forced to miss school and work opportunities because they don’t have the proper feminine hygiene supplies. This is something that we take for granted in the United States—most of us have easy access to feminine supplies and don’t have to miss weeks of school or work every month.

My favorite essential oil company, dōTERRA International, has joined efforts with Days for Girls, helping them with countless projects over the last several years, as they strive to help girls around the world maintain proper hygiene.
